Joining via Invite

GamePulse uses invite links and QR codes to add new members to clubs and teams. This guide explains what to expect when you receive an invite and how the joining process works.

Two Ways to Receive an Invite

Club Admins and Team Admins can invite you in two ways:

• Email link — You receive a direct link (via email, text message, or any messaging app) that takes you straight to GamePulse.
• QR code scan — The admin shows you a QR code from the Invite User dialog or the Tracker Invite modal. Scan it with your phone camera to open the invite link.

What Happens When You Click an Invite Link

When you open an invite link, here is what happens step by step:

1. The link opens GamePulse in your browser.
2. If you are not signed in, you will be prompted to sign in with your Google account (or create a new account).
3. Once signed in, the invite is automatically processed — you are added to the club and assigned to the specified teams with the role the admin selected.
4. You are redirected to the club dashboard where you can see your teams, schedule, and ladder standings.

Scanning a QR Code

QR codes are generated from the Invite User dialog or the Tracker Invite modal on a game card. To join via QR code:

1. Open your phone’s camera app or any QR code scanner.
2. Point the camera at the QR code displayed on the admin’s screen.
3. Tap the notification or link that appears to open GamePulse.
4. Sign in with your Google account and the invite is processed automatically.

QR codes are especially useful for in-person invites — at training sessions, game days, or club sign-up events.

Roles When Joining

The role you receive depends on what the admin selected when creating the invite:

• Club Admin — Full control over the club, including managing all teams and members.
• Team Admin — Can manage settings and members for their assigned team.
• User — Standard member with access to schedules, results, chat, and dashboards.
• Tracker — Can record live stats during games but has read-only access to other features.

You do not choose your role when joining — it is set by the admin who created the invite. If you need a different role, ask your Club Admin to update it from the Manage Club page.

Joining Multiple Teams Across Different Clubs

You can belong to multiple clubs and teams simultaneously. Each invite link is specific to one club, but you can accept invites from as many clubs as you like. Your role is assigned per club, so you might be a Club Admin in one club and a User in another.

Use the club switcher in the navigation bar to move between your clubs. Each club has its own teams, schedules, and dashboards.
